Aberdeen Maritime Museum

Aberdeen Maritime Museum tells the story of the city’s long relationship with the Sea. Following a multi-million-pound expansion and refurbishment in 1997. Located in the historic Ship row in the heart of the city, near the harbour. With collections covering shipbuilding, fast sailing ships, fishing and port history and displays on the North Sea Oil industry. This popular museum cleverly combines award-winning modern design and hands-on interactives with fascinating displays in the atmospheric 16th-century Provost Ross’s House.

Cairngorms National Park

Situated in the beautiful Scottish Highlands. The Cairngorms National Park is the largest park in the UK; with 5 of the highest mountains, forest paths, rivers, lochs and an abundance of wildlife.

The park is popular for activities such as walking, cycling, mountain biking, climbing, and canoeing. For the Hillwalkers there are 55 Munros with two of Scotland’s great trails; The Speyside Way and the Cateran Trail, passing through the park.

Love Snowsports? More people come to Ski at The Cairngorms than any other resort in the UK. Experts and intermediates alike will feel right at home on the classic black and red runs.

Go Ape Crathes

Go Ape is the UK’s number one forest adventure. Set in the heart of Aberdeenshire, get in touch you’re your inner Tarzan and enjoy a stunning backdrop while you navigate your way from tree to tree.  The longest zip line is 125 meters but make sure you keep an eye out for the hair-raising skateboard zip line.

Once you finished climbing the tree’s you’re free to explore the number of walks available to get you out and about in the stunning landscape. It’s a day out you won’t forget.

Stonehaven Heated Open Air Pool

This Olympic sized heated open-air swimming pool certainly has the fun factor. It’s a great day for families if are looking for something a bit different in Aberdeenshire. Open from May to September you can enjoy the water with your friends and family. Jump on the floats at the fun session for kids, there’s a paddling pool for younger children, and splash café to keep everyone fed and watered on your day out.

It’s not just for kids though, there is an aqua disco swim from 10 pm to midnight for those looking for a to swim under the stars and daily quiet sessions.

Adventure Aberdeen Snowsports

Located in Garthdee, the Snowsports venue boasts Aberdeen’s only dry ski slope offering skiing and snowboarding lessons for all ages and abilities. The perfect place for children’s parties in the popular Hobbit Hut with the option to take in tubing sessions! Not into snow sports? There are also Astroturf Football Pitches.
